Information for Teachers

Welcome to our online music lessons list. In the wake of COVID-19/coronavirus many freelance musicians have found themselves out of work or with very little work in the coming months. This list captures musicians that have found themselves in this position and have the capacity and expertise to teach music lessons online. Some simple guidelines:

1. This service has been set up to support freelance musicians recently impacted by COVID-19 shutdowns. This works on an honesty system. We ask that you please keep this in mind before signing up for the database so that we can appropriately prioritise those most in need of work.

2. We recommend email contact as a first port of call.

3. Musicians and teachers set their own rates, conditions and terms of payment. VMTA recommended rates can be found here, for your reference:

https://vmta.org.au/vmta-recommended-teaching-rates/

4. Harassment in any form will not be tolerated.

5. This is provided as a public resource. The individuals behind it are volunteers and do not have capacity to deal with every query in a timely manner. Please bear this in mind when making enquiries directly to the email below. We'll do our best to get back to you as soon as we can. We appreciate your patience.
